what acne scar cream works the best?

everytime i get a zit i always pick it, so i have a lot of scars on my face. i need an acne scar cream to help them go away, because i have had these scars for a really long time. i’ve never bought acne scar cream before, and i don’t want to waste my money on something that has no effect. what creams have worked best for you in this kind of situation? and how long did it take for you to see a noticible result?

If you really opt for a an acne scar cream, tretinoin (retin-A) can help. It works by allowing your skin to peel off faster than it should which would allow scar reduction. However, waiting for that would take a long time. Acne scars are deep and the best and fastest way you can get read of them is going to your dermatologist for procedures such as diamond peel, PIXEL, laser or chemical peel and others.

Natural Remedies?

My friend’s boyfriend is having severe muscle tension (mostly in his shoulders) and tension migraines. He is also vomiting and is sensitive to light. They are going to the doctor soon but we want to help relieve the pain he is in before that. Does anyone know of some natural remedies we can use, or perhaps some OTC cures? We need something affordable, something we can run to the local supermarket and get. He is already taking Excederin and soaking in hot water and Epsom salt, but we need something to ease his stomach and muscles more. Any help is greatly appreciated

Natural remedies are always iffy because there’s no guarantee of the quality of the product you’re using, many remedies (despite heavy-duty marketing) flat out don’t work, and they tend to be needlessly expensive.

First of all, I would get him off the Excedrine as it contains caffeine. Caffeine can cause mild to moderate muscle tension and nausea, so get rid of it. A good OTC medicine for muscle pain is tylenol or naproxen (Aleve).

Regarding the nausea and muscle tension, there’s an OTC drug that can treat both of those symptoms. It’s called Dimenhydrinate, and is also called “Dramamine.” It’s for motion sickness, and it so happens that it has muscle relaxing properties. A very similar drug is Diphenhydramine (the active ingredient in Benadryl and most OTC sleeping pills).

Combining a pain reliever like tylenol with an anti-emetic (which means anti-nauseant) like Benadryl or Dramamine, and your friend should find at least some relief. As far as the photosensitity, that’s best looked at by a doctor.

Please keep in mind that Dramamine and Benadryl will most definitely cause some drowsiness. If it becomes a problem, you can try Meclizine (aka “Dramamine 2″ or “Bonine”). It causes less drowsiness, but also relaxes the muscles less.

I’d be willing to bet that the hot bath, some Dramamine, and some tylenol would provide great relief. This would be a good night-time remedy. During the day, you could do the same but substitute Dramamine with Dramamine 2 (or Bonine) to combat drowsiness.

Did you know that Tylenol PM contains both the tylenol and the diphenhydramine? That might save him some money!

In any case, he should really stop taking the Excedrine. It makes me nauseous and gives me the shakes.

A nice hot cup of chamomile tea might help. At the very least, it shouldn’t screw up the medication he is taking, or any treatment the doctor gives him. You should be able to find lots of info about chamomile on line.

You do need to get him to the doctor as soon as possible.

You won’t find this OTC and I am not sure how much you consider affordable, but this is a nutritional supplement that has every nutrient that your body needs. Many people have had wonderful success with migraines and no longer deal with the health issues you have mentioned. It comes in a powder form and you add it to milk, juice or water. Two shakes a day instead of a bunch of pills. It cost approximately .50 a day.

Has anyone tried the Acne free in 3 days thing?

Has anyone tried the Acne free in 3 days ebook thing by Chris Gibson? Does it work? It sounds kindof scammy and I find it very hard to believe that acne can be cured in three days just by eating apples and drinking water and stuff. But there were tonnes of good reviews for it so Im wondering if maybe it does work? Is it worth the forty dollars? Also do you have to use some sort of cream or take pills or something, or is it just eating apples and water?

It appears to be a great program. I prefer the natural approach as there is a lot less harm and risk done on your body and its far cheaper too. The most you can loose is the price of an online eBook which is generally very cheap unlike some of the chemical treatments out there.

As far as curing, I would try good ol’ Clearasil (or the white kind of toothpaste works too). I also heard something once about icing the blemish to reduce swelling, and then use a bit of Visine on a Q-tip to get rid of the redness. Gd luck.

Whats the best way to get rid of hicky bruising on my neck?

This is weird but I had a condition when I was nervous or just bored that I would keep pinching on my neck just under my chin. I developed long bruises that look like hickys. Its embarrasing and was wondering how to get rid of the bruising. I dont do the pinching anymore but the scars have been left. I still have the urge to pinch under my neck but I quit as soon as a start doing it. Please help!!!!!!

But id clinque doesnt have what you are looking for, use the proactive refining mask. it works good for me but maybe not for you.

What’s the best treatment for blackheads?

I’ve been using some night time gel that I apply to my nose, and although not specifically for blackheads it stops my skin being as greasy throughout the day.

The only thing I’ve come up with to get rid of blackheads is hot water and a face wash with microbeads, but that’s only a temporary solution.

find a product that has 10% Benzoyl Peroxide and apply it to your nose. it will eventually dry out the blackheads, once your skin gets dry, exfoliate your nose with a scrub (scrub only 2-3 times a week). make sure to apply an oil control moisturizer afterwards.

you should go to a spa and get a facial too. they will squeeze everything out.

First of all, blackheads are nothing more than your skin’s grease oxidized by dirt and contamination. Logically, the first step is having a cleansing routine to keep that plugged grease from building up.
Wash your face twice a day with a mild cleaner, designed for your AGE. I use one that has Lactic Acid as the main ingredient. In the beginning it might look as if the problem worsens, since lactic acid is cleaning your pores. see this

Do not use products that claim to dry your skin, it will only respond by forming more grease, making it harder to get rid of blackheads.
Use a homemade mascara by crushing ripe tomatoes and applying to skin for 10 minutes. Wash with warm water.

That’s easy. You just need a strong exfoliating scrub. I didn’t learn about exfoliating scrubs till I was 20, and once I discovered them, all my blackheads went away and I have never had one since.

You don’t need to get ripped off by anything expensive. Freeman makes a great scrub that you can buy at Wal Mart or a drug store for around . Either use the one in the orange tube for acne, or if you want the strongest, use the “Foot Scrub” by Freeman in the big purple tube. The only difference between a “face scrub” and a “foot scrub” are the size of the pumice granules. Bigger ones like in foot scrubs are better for very oily skin.

I’ve been using it every day for 17 years and not only do I have no blackheads, it delays wrinkles and fine lines too because you’re scrubbing off all the dead skin. I don’t know why some companies say only use it a couple of times a week. If I miss even one day my whole face feels dirty. I’ve never had anything but soft skin from using the scrub every day.

DONT WEAR MAKEUP!! only doing so will cause more oil build up on your face. wet a little bit of baking soda, and leave it on your face for like 10 seconds and then rinse. then put toothpast over those pimples. lols thats what i do (btw im 16) when i have skin prollems

Is it okay to remove pimple scars using Vitamin E if i have an oily skin?

i had a little thing of pure vitamin E from the pharmacy, and it was GROSS how oily and sticky it was… i wouldnt use that on my face if I were u..

try “bio oil”.. its more expensive, but people say it works.. i’m trying it out myself…

Yes. Just test it out for a day or two to make sure it doesn’t encourage more breakouts.

After reading around for a while, i’ve learned that aloe vera is helpful for treating scars, and that vaseline is the worst possible thing you could do to treat acne scars. I dug around my house and found some Vaseline Aloe Vera lotion. Is it okay to use it?

you could use the aloe vera out in your garden, just cut it open and use the aloe vera flesh to apply directly. But I feel that you are better off scrubbing that area a few times a week to exfoliate (gently scrub) then use rosehip oil for the scar instead. Rosehip oil is rich in vit A, C, E and is a good antioxidant.

Most probably your “some Vaseline Aloe Vera lotion” has not enough aloe vera in. Try to find certified producer of aloe vera with International Aloe Science Council quality and purity seal on it.
