Question…
What to do about acne caused by implanon?
I haven’t had acne in years, but now that I have the implanon in I have gotten acne all across my forehead and chin and my skin seems oily. I wash twice a day now with clean and clear but it doesn’t seem to help. Since the acne is caused by the implanon will anything help?

Acne can be caused by what you eat such as your diet might have changed, or most likely hormones.
Just don’t squeeze them, and make sure that your hair is off your face and that you add moisturizer after every time you cleanse to lock in moisture no matter how oily it may be.
And if you really need to, then see a Dermatology to get products that WORK.

I had the same thing happen to me. I had my implanon inserted in October 2007, and noticed a difference in my skin about 2 months after. I didn’t want to have to go through the trouble of having the implanon removed because for me, it is the most convenient method of birth control out there. I started using the Clinique acne 3-step skin care, and within a few weeks noticed the acne disappearing. I still have implanon, and unfortunately I still have a break out every now and then but usually only when it’s time for my period. Give the hormones time to balance themselves out in your body. Also, be sure to drink plenty of water because it is the most natural way to keep skin clear.
